Are you a safe driver? The St. Joseph Police Department Traffic Unit, in conjunction with KKJO/KSFT, introduces the I'm a Safe Driver program.
The St. Joseph Police Department Traffic Unit wants you to be a safe driver. Teenagers show us they are by filling out registration cards and dropping them in boxes located in the school's office. The cards are picked up at the end of each month. Two cards are drawn from each high school every month. The individuals whose names are drawn may be eligible to win a prize...
A driving history check will be conducted on each individual whose name is drawn. Provided that you have had no traffic violations, i.e., speeding tickets, moving violation tickets or seat belt tickets, since June 1st of 2007, you are a winner. (If the driving record shows any of the violations listed above, you will be disqualified from the drawing for the remainder of the school year. In the event that a person is disqualified, another card will be drawn.)
There will be two prizes awarded to each high school each month. During the last month of school, cards from all high schools will be combined and one card will be drawn for a grand prize*.
