Russell Martin is the department Evidence Technician. He stores evidence and property that is seized and found by officers. The Evidence Technician is also responsible for transporting evidence to laboratories for testing and releasing or destroying property that is not claimed or no longer needed by the courts. One of Russell's primary duties is releasing found property to their owners. Much of the time, the property must be destroyed because the owner cannot identify the item. Be sure to keep track of the make, model and serial numbers of your property or mark the property with a unique series of characters with an engraver so you can positively identify your found or recovered property.
